Thank you for the excellent Carbine! It will make a fine shooter for the nephew when he gets a bit bigger. GR G.

After many years as a customer and a lifetime of reading about Camp Perry, I was able to visit there last week. I was very impressed with the facility and everyone I met. While purchasing a M-44 Mossburg I had a great conversation with Steve Claybaugh. We had a lot in common as Guard retirees.  Thank you for the hospitality. CMS Steve P. USAF, (ret)

Hello to all at the CMP, THANK YOU!!!! My M1 carbine arrived today and I am in lust! She's a bit dirty but she will clean up nicely. I was quite surprised to see she's a WWII dated carbine. I fully expected to receive a later year model but was pleasantly surprised to see the 12/44 date on the barrel. This weapon will rest next to it's bigger brother (an earlier purchased CMP Garand.) If this carbine shoots half as well, I'll completely satified. THANK YOU ALL for your great efforts. I know that you are busier than a one armed paperhanger these days, but you need to know that your efforts are known and are GREATLY APPRECIATED. Take care, David J. S

I received my Underwood M-1 Carbine this afternoon,  I'd ordered it on 2/20/09.  I can't describe how good this weapon is,  it has an almost perfect stock and the receiver is Underwood,  with an Inland barrel.  I've already stripped it down and went over it,  I'm ready for the range,  wish I had a magazine to use in it.  I suggest that you inform customers that they have to purchase a magazine,  I've got an e-mail into Customer Service and hope they can help me out.   Thanks for all your trouble,  don't mean to bug you folks !  Great job under rough conditions ! Just received my M1 'Springfield Special' today. It looks absolutely awesome!!! The new stock is beautiful, and the rifle looks nearly 1945 factory fresh. I can't wait to take it out to the range. A safe queen this rifle will not be. An excellent deal considering a new barrel, new stock, refinished & rebuilt. CMP was also a joy to deal with, and I'll be doing business with you in the future. Keep up the good work. Best regards, Albert K

My son and myself went to the south store may 20th for the first time. Leon buzzed us in and showed us what we needed to do as first timers and offered to help us if needed. we turned in of paper work and set about looking at all the garands. wow! what a great place. after an hour or so we found 2 good field grades. we are very happy with the rifles, but even happier with the kindness and willingness of the all the staff to help us. I wish all places of business were run this way. I can't wait to go back. keep up the good work. D.S.

I’d like to thank the entire staff at CMP. Currently I am working in Afghanistan on the Elevated Sensors Program in support of the Army and Marines. I ordered and received my H&R Correct grade M1 so my wife sent me some Pictures and what beauty!! I can’t wait to clean and shoot it. I realize the strain that must be on the staff right now with all the orders. In my opinion you people are the best. My 15 yr old son and are going to have a good time shooting when I return and it is because of your hard work. I may only get 2 weeks off but I am looking forward to it. To bad they won’t let me bring it back. I’d carry that weapon any day of the week. Thanks again for your hard work.  Semper Fi,  Patrick  B.

I know you folks are as busy as a one legged man in a fanny kicking contest but I just wanted to say thanks. I just got my M1903 and have started to clean up the old girl. It is a great peace of history which I can use to bore my guest into a bleary eyed state. Thanks again for your work.  Regards, William M.

All, I thought you would like to see just how large the Civil Air Patrol is with the Federal Government. The story below will outline just how important the Civil Air Patrol is to Homeland Security and Federal Emergency Management Agency. We work with the DEA, FBI, and Border Patrol. We have a Cadet Program second to none and we are members of Civilian Marksmanship Program and proud of what you do to help us. Thank You, Robert M. S. Capt. CC CAP

I got serious about ordering in January of 09. Didn't realize the hornets nest at CMP from the Winchester orders and election. Besides a lesson in patience I took the time to really get into the forum and found a huge experience base to draw on while I waited. Great website! Now I have two wonderful M1 Garands (SG SA,HRA) to use and enjoy and a goodly quantity of ammo to go with them. As the ordering process has moved forward from DBU to receipt I remain amazed at the smoothness of it and the informative responses I received from those at CMP I spoke with. Simply great folks providing a valuable service. Can't thank you all enough. Stew S.

I recently successfully bid on a 1903 Mark I through the CMP auction site.  Wow! The rifle was every bit as good as described in the auction description. I am impressed with the excellent condition of the rifle that is 90+ years old! The finish of the wood showed it age through an excellent patina. The metal finish showed very little wear from use on the bolt and receiver surfaces! Keep up the good work in promoting the shooting sports with the proceeds from the auctions! Best Regards, Don S.

Well I'm back home now after nine days of the best shooting with the best people I know. This was my third Eastern Games/ Creedmoor Cup. I never think it can get any better, but it always does. I am exhausted. I love you all at the CMP. You work so hard to make these events go so smoothly. The CMP Games are the best thing in competitive shooting. It is not just shooting and scores. There is special kind of magic in the air at these regional events. Old friends and new ones, with admiration, and closeness to the best shooters in the world make the games very dear to me. From Dick's command at center line to Pete, Amil, and Alfonso in the pit... and then there's Christy, Lori, Shannon, Sheri, and Amy, I love you all. Thank you for another great week as part of the shooting community. I also want to thank the NSSC. Without their support and the Butner Command, my time at the range this year would not have been possible. See you again soon. God bless you all. Greg

Great information that is being currently posted on the Bavarian Carbines.  Great history lesson.  CMP is serving a variety of interest for many patriotic Americans.  Thanks a lot.  Now all we need is some ammo.

Thanks to all you fine folks at CMP South for the help and advice when the wife, sons and I were there on Thursday April  23rd.   A special thanks to the nice lady whose name I cannot remember who helped us pick out the very nice service grade carbine.  Also a special thanks to the young man, I belief his name is Derik, who replaced the clip release spring in my M1 Garand when we came back through on the following Saturday, and kindly found another spring for the stepson’s Garand which had the same problem. It was a great experience.   Wish I lived closer to the store.  Of course, I would need to win the lottery.  Thanks again.   John Doug H .
