YOU ALWAYS TELL US NOT TO EXPECT TO MUCH IN THE WAY OF A RIFLE.BUT WHEN WE GET THEM WE ARE ALWAYS PLEASED I MYSELF HAVE NEVER BEEN DISAPPOINTED. IS THIS YOUR IDEA OF A JOKE?. IF IT IS YOU MAY PULL MY LEGS ANYTIME. I KNOW THAT YOU PEOPLE ARE BUSY. I WILL NOT DWELL BUT WE IN THE CMP COMMUNITY REALLY APPRECIATE YOU. WILL S. CAPE CORAL FLA. April 28, 2009
Just writing to say "Thank You" for your feedback on my M-1 Carbine
I ordered on Feb. 23, 2009. I haven't received it yet, but
have been kept up to date on my orders progress at the South location. I
own a Garand now, it's a Springfield manufactured in June of 1943,
it's "mint" condition and a "tack driver". The
Garand was the first weapon I was issued in Basic Training, also was
issued a Carbine after my active duty, while in the Reserves. Keep
up the great work, history is being made daily, and your
organization is doing it ! Steve B. S/Sgt./Ret.
April 25, 2009My Springfield M1 Garand service grade arrived yesterday and I'm very happy with it! I can't wait to purchase another rifle. Thank you, Mike C. April 22, 2009I rcvd my SA SG today and I know how busy you are but--- This beautiful piece of history sends chills down my spine. Thanks a million to you and the CMP staff. WOW!!! Bill April 22, 2009Greetings, I just wanted to write a quick note of thanks for sending me a wonderful M1 Carbine! The rifle came in the other day and it is fantastic and well worth the wait. You offer a great service and a quality product. Thank you so much. Regards, David C . April 22, 2009To Whomever, I hope this gets out to everyone in the company. I've only been with the CMP for a few years but WOW! I send back a stock with a crack and you send me a better one, I leave a message and your back to me the next day. Every time I order, it comes within your time frame, which is fantastic! I don't know how you do it. To be such a small company, employee wise, you have a business model that others should follow. Your company could show others how to get it done right. I'm old enough to remember when the customer came first, which seems to have gone by the wayside and is sad. If you ever decide to sell anything like, oh lets say cars or appliances let me know. Only joking of course! Thanks to all of you. Mike April 21, 2009Hi, this is Al B . again, don't want to take more of your time but I feel that I have to explain to you how I came to be in possession of my M-1 Garand. On March 12, 2009, my wife and her two brothers along with myself went to your North Shore Store in Port Clinton, Ohio, my one brother in law want to purchase either a A303 Springfield or a M-1 Garand, he asked me to look around and see what I could find, so while I was doing this I must have looked like I needed some advice and this is where an employee by the name of George came into the picture. He took me over to a rack of Field Grade M-1's, picked out one that looked almost brand new, very little scratches or dings on either the rifle or stock, he also pointed what to look for in a rifle and took the time to not only listen to my questions but to answer all them so I could understand clearly. Well, my brother in law bought the rifle along with another rifle for himself and we left to go back home, after arriving there he then this rifle presented to me as a birthday present, this was like a dream come true, now I finally have one for myself. Since then I have cleaned the stock with Murphy's Oil Soap, followed by Boiled Linseed oil and finally a few applications of Lemon Pledge, this is now my PRIDE and JOY, and to say that this rifle is beautiful is a UNDER STATEMENT, and this was made possible by George and your wonderful staff, I can't thank them enough for what they did for me that day. I am writing this to you because after I read some of the positive and negative comments in the Customer Feedback section, I just had to add another positive reply due to the treatment that I received during my recent visit, this is also is the main reason I asked about the purchase of Special M-1 Garand in my previous e-mail. Many thanks again. Al B. April 14, 2009
April 14, 2009I want to thank you for another great purchasing experience with CMP. Yesterday I received the two Mossberg M-44's I ordered back in January and was extremely satisfied with both. One shows signs of some pretty heavy usage, but is still in excellent condition. The second one is in new condition, only a few marks from shipping and storage. Thanks again, I'm looking forward to my next purchase, I'm sure I'll again be happily surprised by the quality of product and superior service. Rich G. Delaware April 13, 2009

April 13, 2009Thanks to all of you at CAMP, After a nearly a 3 month wait, I receive all three of the rifles I ordered the same day & all were excellent! 2 M-1 Garands & 1 M-1 Carbine! I have fired each one & with good results, & I personally like the dings & marks in an original stock, I think it adds history to the weapon & the mystery of just where its been. I have had excellent correspondence with everyone there & all questions where answered in a professional manner. Thanks again for 3 excellent rifles D. David. April 13, 2009Dear CMP, I came in the Camp Perry store during the CMP Games July '08 with no interest in used military surplus rifles. Most of my reasons are because of how I see current weapon taken care of in today's military. I have never had any desire to shoot, much less own an old junker. I came to the CMP Game to coach for the "M1 for Vets" team and shoot my M1A. I am a Marine Scout/Sniper, competitive shooter for rifle and pistol and Combat Marksmanship Instructor at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, NC. I have always been a fond lover of the DMR (M14) that the Marines uses, especially after having one to use in Iraq to rotate with my M40A3. What could these old war horse offer? I'm here to tell you, I am a believer now. I came in to the store to be overwhelmed by the smell of wood and gun oil, it was intoxicating. After talking to one of the your staff there and getting a crash course in the operation of the Garand, he helped me pick my first M1. I was told what to look for in the future, how to clean and care for it. I was told about all the tools to refurbish it and new stocks. To my dismay, I had to wait until the next payday to buy it. Your staff held THAT EXACT RIFLE from the Monday I came in until that Friday when I got paid. I cleaned that rifle for about three hours that Friday night, getting to know it's insides and get to know the "feel" of it. The next morning at the John C. Garand Match, I shot a Bronze medal, only points away from a silver. From that day on, my M1A, AR15 variants, precession bolt guns and pistols have all taken a backseat to the sheer love I have for the Garand. I now preach the M1, have recently had a range day (aboard Camp Lejeune's Weapons Training Battalion at Stone Bay) dedicated to M1 shoots. I bought my friend's Smith-Corona 1903A3 after months of me nagging him, which also came from your store. I will buy another M1 and a M1 Carbine for myself due to the quality and service I have received from your staff. I can't wait until this July to Browse, buy and compete again. Thanks and great job! Respectfully, SSgt F.M. F . April 12, 2009I received my Springfield (Remington) 03A3 last week and I got to shoot it yesterday. Although the stock is really banged up, the action is smooth and the gun is very accurate, I love it. I understand the staff at CMP is experiencing a great deal of orders and probably some angry emails. I just wanted to send a thank you email for the outstanding service CMP staff provides for Americans. I hope my thank you reaches the CMP staff and they are aware of my sincere gratitude. God bless all of you, Kevin P. April 9, 2009

I received my first ever Garand from the
CMP recently. It is a beauty! The finish looked perfect and the barrel looks
hardly used! I totally enjoy my new rifle. I am even planning to take it to a
local John C. Grand match! I just want to thank you and your staff for doing
yeoman's work over the past 2 weeks. While at one point it looked like my
order still might be months away, it arrived Tuesday. I have read about the
thousand upon thousands of orders that flooded CMP the past few months, but a
large dent was put into it! For your dedication I thank all of you,
and I appreciate the hard work and long hours everyone must be putting it. I
am so proud to own my first Garand that I am almost don't want to shoot it,
and I have the CMP family to thank for allowing me to own a piece of history.

April 6, 2009I unboxed my Service Grade M1 Garand 3 Apr 09. It was a
beauty…no other words to describe it. Bore is bright, with sharp lands
& grooves, and the bolt/trigger housing/magazine housing look in mint
condition. According to the Springfield Arsenal serial number list, it was
produced in Jan 44; however, you’d think it was never fired. About the
only “old” looking part of the rifle is the stock – which some cleanup
should take care of in short order. Thanks for the beautiful rifle –
can’t wait to order an M1 Carbine or 1903 Springfield from you.

CMP North, I would like to
express my deepest thanks to "Bob" at your North Store.
Today, 2 April 2009, I purchased my second M1 Garand from you folks. Not
only was Bob extremely helpful but, he went way out of his way to make sure I
was totally satisfied. His expertise in the weapon business was very
helpful plus teaching me what I needed to check on each weapon
to find a good one. I also had brief conversation with
"George." He is also extremely knowledgeable and a
historian of the M1 Garand. These two gentlemen are very dynamic,
do not let them get away. . . they are both keepers!! Again,
thanks guys. Alan T .
April 1, 2009I just wanted to thank you for the beautiful correct grade HR M1 Garand. I am a disabled Vietman Vet and only fired an M16. I got it in Nov. 08 and my wife would not let me clean or do anything with it until Christmas as it was her gift to me. I will enjoy taking this M1 to the range, when it's possible for me to do it, until then it's in my safe. I love to show it to my good friends. Thanks again John W. April 1, 2009My order arrived today! I feel like it is Christmas again! The condition of the rifles is incredible. The M-1 looks better than many I have seen for sale at gun shows. The Mossberg .22 is great as well. This was well worth the wait. Thank you for your efforts and patience. Douglas A.
