I had contemplated a purchase for years, but was dissuaded by the reports from

Dear CMP, I recieved my M1 Garand and ammunition a couple of weeks ago. This is the first time I have ever bought a firearm on-line and certainly the first time to buy one without ever seeing it before hand. I purchased an M1 Garand, service grade, Springfield Armory make. I was nervous the day it arrived. When I opened the box all of my nervousness melted away. The rifle was beautiful. It was in in terrific shape. CMP had put a new stock set on it and it appeared to have very minimal wear on any parts or pieces. The ammo was also in great shape. I have shot it and it worked flawlessly. I look forward to doing more buisiness with you, and talking my wife into more firearm purchases in the future. Ha. YOUR DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS HAVE SAVED ME FROM SELLING MY M1 GARAND. I WAS ABLE TOO TAKE MY REAR SIGHT DOWN CLEAN IT AND NOW IT WORKS LIKE IT IS SUPPOSED TO. THE DETAILED STRIPPING PROCEDURES FOR THE REST OF THE RIFLE HELPED ME TOO GAUGE, REFIT MY GAS PISTON. NO MORE WOBBLY FRONT SIGHT. I want to express my sincere appreciation and thanks for the items I received this year from you hard working folks at CMP. I received two M1 Carbines, a Mossberg M44 (today), and accessories during three flawless transactions with CMP. No organization could be at the top of its trade (as I believe CMP is) without the dedicated and hardworking folks that stand behind it. Your organization has definitely showed its professionalism from the folks who answered my questions over the phone, those that received my paperwork and processed it, to those that selected and packaged the end item for my enjoyment. If I have left anyone out of this process please accept my apologies, as all of your involvement has made me a very happy buyer. Dear Sir: Just got back from the North Store a couple of hours ago. I wanted to tell you just how nice the sales people were today. It has been about a year since I have been there and the store sure looks good with the changes. I asked for help in looking for a couple of Inland Carbines that just went on sale and with the help I received was able to buy two that I liked. I remain very pleased (even "tickled") with my recent purchase of a Correct Grade HRA M1 Rifle that arrive the day after my 60th birthday (the CMP certificate was dated on my birthday). It shoots much better than I do and the general condition I would regard as outstanding for a firearm that was built in 1955. Thanks again for making this one of my most memorable birthdays. Doug H.
