They were 1,3xx,xxx and 1,4xx,xxx can’t remember the numbers any more. Like to get more 03’s but now sold out. I’ll waite for 2010. Thank You very much, Robert H . November 29, 2008I finally was able to go to the range and test the replacement bolt for my 1903 you sent me last October, and it worked perfectly. The caption of this email should read "Solutions with 1903." November 27, 2008Dear, CMP in response to the negative comments I am new to CMP and have ordered two Garands the first was a service grade Springfield that will shoot a four shot group within one inch at 100 yards I sent the forms in and got the rifle within 2 weeks. I sent in for the HRA special in the first part of November and I called to check on the order and spoke to Sharon who has upstanding customer service, she explained that the CMP is swamped with orders. I ask you who send negative feedback to look at the big picture and listen to the news then read the 30-60 days for processing and give the CMP break they do a wonderful job and I myself know it takes a while to process 1300 orders. I wanted to let CMP know about the wonderful
customer service I have continued to receive. It happened again
yesterday when I sent an email to Melissa Smith asking about my recent order
for an '03 Springfield. She replied almost immediately and let me know
the status of my order. I can only imagine that Melissa is very busy
every day processing the multitude of orders that come in, but she took the
time to check on my previously submitted order and let me know where it was.
Even if I miss the cutoff on this order, I can only say thanks to the CMP and
especially to Melissa, for the great customer service she has provided.
Thank you again and it is always a pleasure dealing with your fine

November 25, 2008I just wanted to say thank you for NOT raising your rates on your weapons and ammo like just about everyone else is doing. I truly like doing business (personal) with your company and plan on buying a lot of ammo to shoot off after the first of the year. I have a dear friend who also is an Army Vet who is a great competitive shooter and instructor. We plan on shooting a lot. My M-1 is just wonderful and the ammo in the "Spam Can" is just fantastic, not a misfire yet. I have just put in the mail my application all notarized and ready for processing for a nice M-1 Carbine. This should complete my military rifle collection but maybe not. Maybe I'll shell out some more and buy one of those very nice looking 1903 Springfield's. Again, I am very pleased to do business with your organization and from the heart and soul of this old retired cop and combat vet, thank you so much for doing such a fine job for us and the youth of this great country. Since I am a firearms police instructor myself, I have taught my granddaughter to shoot, starting out with a BB rifle. I gave her the same safety and learning course test that I gave all my trainees before she even touched a BB. Since then, she has become on very fine young shot. She's following in both her grandmother and mother's footsteps, they were all great students and it does my heart well to do so since I no long teach police. I have made a conscientious effort today to meet with my active duty officer instructors at the department on a visit there today to inform them of your programs and sales. I was at your Anniston range this weekend and was really pleased with what I
found. I have traveled to many ranges and none come even close to quality of
yours. From check in to the end of challenge period was excellent!
I think once the bugs with advertising the matches are worked
out, that range will be packed out!

November 21, 2008I received nothing but excellent service on my h&r garand and ammo purchase. The people at the south store helped with meeting all requirements to make a purchase. I was notified when ammo and rifle was shipped and items were better than described. Everyone I spoke to was eager and helpful. This is unusual in today's business environment and even more so considering your lack of competition, Thanks again and I will be reordering soon. Maybe a 1903a3 next. Brian C. Trying to reach you by phone is impossible. How do you expect to do business like this? Please fix this problem. Thank you, The T . November 19, 2008I am not real excited about doing business with CMP. The wait is certainly too long and the process is too difficult. Too little contact with the sales department is unacceptable. I also have tried to call repeatedly but the phone system is ridiculous with the long waits and the breaking sounds on the phone making you wonder if you are still connected. Just a note to let you know how pleased I am with the service received from
CMP. I recently purchased an M1 Carbine and upon trial discovered a worn
operating slide that caused a stoppage with each round fired. Although I
noted that sales are "as is," I contacted your office and Mr. Tommy
Phillips was extremely helpful in diagnosing the problem and explaining the
procedure to rectify it. And thanks to Lynne Williams for her support.
Upon return of the worn slide a replacement was sent and the M1 works
perfectly. The service is extraordinary. Thanks for a great
program that continues to encourage and build the shooting sports. Jim

want to tell you that your staff at the North Store is top knotch, polite, and
professional. I bought my second M-1
for the year today. I sure do like talking to the older fella
with the red hair. I do not know his name, but I could talk to him all day, about
M-1 Garands. That man has knowledge. I became upset when your staff told me
that some of the customers stole some of your gages, and bore lights. I did
not tell anyone that I was policeman, but I sure would like to meet those
punks. Thank you for the service you provide.
I am going to purchase a third M-1 Garand next year.

November 11, 2008Gentlemen, I would like to thank you all from the bottom of my heart, for your time, your patience, your weekend, your enthusiasm and most of all your continued dedication to the sport during the GSM Master Instructor Course of 11/8 - 11/9/2008. This course was very complete and well taught. It will surely allow me to become a better shooter myself, but also allow me to help others to become lifelong shooters. I also want to congratulate you on your new Training Facility. It is a first class facility. It will surely draw shooters young and old, especially juniors to the facility for the continued growth of the sport of Rifle Shooting. I also want to thank you for the wonderful Correct Grade, Springfield M1 that I left the CMP with. I was very happy to find such a fine example on your racks. It is cleaning up very nicely as I write this email. Please thank all of the young men you had helping you and us during the class. November 10, 2008It has been awhile, but I finally got my 1903 Modified in action. I belong to a club that shoots old military rifles. We shoot all kinds. I worked up a load that is a favorite with our group using SR4759 and 125gr bullets. Attached is a picture of 5 shots at 100yds. Yes that is a nickel. Yes, I won the match. Thanks to the CMP for what you do and offering a bit of history to us folks who owe so much to so few. Just thought you should actually see results rather than hear about them. Keep up the good work. November 4, 2008Thanks for the effort you and the CMP expended to get the 1903 stocks. Mine is very nice. I had picked out a like-new Greek return 1903 with a new High Standard barrel back in 2005 at the NS. It had a firewood stock though, and I hoped someday to put it in a C-stock. Now it looks and shoots great. Keep up the good work. Dan G November 4, 2008Dear CMP: I just received my Inland M1 carbine and am very pleased. The rifle is in very good shape, some minor cosmetic dings in the wood and some finish wear, but a bright shiny bore (not bad on a 1944 barrel). I particularly appreciate your communications where emails let me know as my order went through each step of the process. Plus, mailing in my order on 10/21/08 and receiving my rifle on 11/3/2008 is excellent performance. Many thanks, Keith K. This is my second time to CMP in two months. First trip in September was like
a dream. Felt like Christmas when I was a kid. It's keeps getting better
every time! Think the people are more then helpful as well as friendly. They
are like old friends you can trust and ask advise from. Plan on
another trip very soon to pickup my third Garand. I enjoy the quiet 1 1/4
drive from my home in Michigan. You guys and gals at CMP for really great.
