CMP Home Page '04 Feedback '05 Feedback '06 Feedback '07 Feedback '08 FeedbackJAN FEB MAR APR MAY JUN JUL AUG SEPT OCT NOV DEC March 31, 2008To Who It may concern, I am or was a first time and last time Buyer from the CMP. I do not feel that I was give good Information by Your people on the forum. Nor was my order processed in a timely manor. I also don"t like the cmp processing the credit card before being sure that product was availible to fill the order. I doubt that I will see this on the feed back page, talking with other people I now find that the info presented on feedback on your web page is very misleading and editted. Good Day . Earl O. NC March 31, 2008Would like to take this time before I depart for Baghdad to thank the workers, and staff for expediting my order for my H&R M-1 Garand which I got to shoot before I leave. The rifle in correct condition was better than decribed. The same can be said regarding the HXP ammunition both arrived within forty days after mailing the order. Thanks again . 1LT Ryan C. P . I know this is off on a tangent, but I wanted
you to know that I used my CMP Inland to take two Jakes this last weekend, the
start of Texas' Spring turkey season. Thanks
again for all you and your people do.

March 24, 2008Received my M-1 Grand today and it was every bit as good as I had expected. Service was excellent and I want to thank Sandra for all her help and up-dates with my orders. Marshall G. March 27, 2008
CMP staff, I
received my carbine and I am very pleased - it definitely exceeded my
expectations. Just wanted to relay my appreciation and thanks for
this and all of the rifles and ammunition in the past. Best
Regards, Steve

March 26, 2008Received my service grade H&R M1 surprised at the great condition of the stock, barrel and bore, for a gun that is fifty plus years old. I cleaned the grease away and took it to the range and with just a few rounds it was on target. Great rifle, great service from CMP. Just a note on ammo, I purchased the Greek surplus ammo from CMP it works well. I fired new Remington ammo and one of the rounds fired when the bolt closed after ejecting a spent casing. The military ammo is much safer and cheaper, it has a harder primer than current civilian ammo. John C . March 26, 2008Hello Ms. Williams, I received the rifle today and just want to thank you for your effort and the opportunity to have one beautiful rifle! I warmly thank you for going the extra mile for me when you certainly didn't have to... Thank you so much! Best regards, James S. March 25, 2008I just wanted to give a big thumbs up to the CMP and staff. My SA Garand arrived a few weeks ago - it's condition was much better than expected and about 10 weeks delivery time. The local gunsmith said it was a fine rifle, and I've had several "oh's and ah's" already. The website is informative, easy to navigate, and up to date. The phone staff has been exemplary - knowledgeable, helpful, and cheerful. My thanks is a little overdue, but better late than never. George March 25, 2008Went to the CMP North store 21 Ma 08 for the first time
with my brother-in-law. I was really impressed with so many beauties in stock.
We found a gem of a field grade M1 SA for myself muzzle gage was "1"
throat was just over 2!!! Its a great shooter couple clicks here and there; it
was great!!! Thought I would share my experience anyway?!?!!! P.S. Pics of the
new store are great on the net, but to be there is priceless!!! March 25, 2008First, let me just say that the customer service that I
received was great. The questions that I asked were answered professionally and
in a very friendly manner. I'd read/heard great things about the CMP program.
I'm also sure that my disappointment stems from my unrealistic expectations. I
knew from the outset that it was going to take 2-3 months to get my Garand. I'd
read in the forums that there was a good chance that I'd get a WW II rifle. (I'd
also read that it helped to put a "sticky" on the paperwork asking for
this.) March 24, 2008Thanks to the "YOUNGER BROTHER" behind the counter. My brother, Jim and I visited the store on March 13th, and had a very enjoyable experience there. I found a Garand and a Carbine both with a six digit number that I am thrilled with. We both feel like we picked out some good guns. I spent most of my working life starting at about 10 years old, (helping Mom & Dad in a home based business) in a service mould. Everyone there that we dealt with were top notch service oriented people. I have said that Bob should be on stage in a comedy club. Best to all of you Gals and Guys. Thanks, Bill & Jim H. March 24, 2008I just finished putting my collection all together this weekend. Four weeks on the internet and lots of money I finally got all the parts to complete the Winchester and Rock-ola and to configure the Inland and Underwood as my shooters. A stroke of luck when a friend of mine, at my urging, went for a rack grade Inland and ask to bring it to me to strip, I.D. and clean. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the grungy stock was a Type-1 I-cut highwood Rock-ola, with all the cartouches, in very good shape, under the gunk! He donated it to my Rock-ola for one of the Unmarked Walnut stocks I had already refinished and a few 15 rd Mags. I am elated at the rifles I received from you guys and will shoot and cherish them appropriately. STEPHEN J. W. March 24, 2008
Dear Mr. Michaels,
After my first experience with CMP, I've got to write to you to
let you know what a great experience it's been. I just finished cleaning
and reassembling my '54 H&R Garand (Correct Grade), and it's a beauty.
Because of the M1's place in our nation's history, I had wanted one for a long
time but didn't know how to go about buying one from a trustworthy source.
Then I found out about CMP.
I found the following resources to be anywhere from very valuable to
mission-critical:
1. John McClain (hopefully I'm spelling his name correctly) -- my mentor
through the whole process, offering advice on which M1 would be right for me
(correct grade H&R), how to clean and oil the stock to preserve its
character and collectability, etc. What a great guy!
2. The customer service & sales staff -- unfailingly helpful and
friendly with all of my questions and inquiries about my order.
3. Armory staff -- always glad to answer my technical questions about how to
clean parts, how to clean the wood, etc.
4. The excellent instructions for detail stripping and reassembly -- my
task would have been impossible without this information on the CMP website.
5. The mission of CMP -- making these historical arms available to
those of us who want to preserve this part of history and go out to the
range with family and friends for some great shooting time and fellowship
together.
I'll be keeping my eye out for a Model 1903. In the meantime, I plan
to head out to the range with my brother and nephew as soon as my ammo
order arrives. They're gonna love my Garand!
Sincerely, John R.

I just received my first M1 Garand from you and it is wonderful. I could not
be happier with the rifle . Also your customer service is the best. Whenever I
had a question I received an immediate answer. Keep up the good work.

I just wanted to say thanks to all the CMP staff for the great service I
received. I received my M1 Garand and was very pleased and impressed.
I ordered a Service Grade Springfield M1 Garand and it was almost in mint
condition. I am planning on ordering another in the near future and hope
to order a 1917 Enfield and 1903 Springfield as soon as they are available
again. Again, thanks for the great service and for all you do.

March 20, 2008WOW! Thank you CMP! The wait was long, but it sure was worth it. My Underwood service grade arrived today and I couldn't be happier. I went by the South store a couple weeks ago to check out the rack grades and they were OK but the long awaited service grade carbine is a really nice rifle. My hat is off to those who do the grading and sorting! Thank you all! Dave M. March 18, 2008I want to take a moment of your time to compliment your staff on their outstanding customer service; in particular, Judy. I inadvertently mailed a packet in regard to an M-1 Carbine product which was not available until April of 2008. Judy left a message for me advising me my order could not be accepted until April. Judy also offered to change my order to an available item. Judy told me what items were currently available and was very helpful in insuring my order was completed and mailed promptly. In todays day and age excellent customer service is generally a thing of the past; however your organization is definitely an exception. Thank you for an excellent product and outstanding customer service! My compliments to Judy for her terrific attitude and dedication to providing a great customer experience. Lloyd F. OR March 14, 2008Thanks I received My service grade HRA today with a near perfect Barrel and it appears to be original to receiver chamber in the white nice enough CMP stock was fitted to this rifle also. Thanks David S. March 10, 2008
I received my M! Garand in
excellent conditioned park was very good and no rust, stock had some dings but
exceeded my expectations I shot it at the range on Sunday and the action
performed flawlessly I started to group ok at 100 yards my first time out
probably about a 4 inch group which I know I can personally improve on just
getting started. My target was black that turns green when shoot so I
couldn't consistently put a black front post on the exact spot next targets
will be more standard and I know I will group much better overall great
deal! Wayne
March 10, 2008I received my service grade M-1 a few days after Christmas and am very pleased with the rifle I have received. After inspection and cleaning I was very impressed with rifle's performance on the range. Now I can't wait till April 28 gets here so I can order a carbine! Thanks again John G. March 8, 2008I have been reading on your web site about the good customer relations department you have. Now I have proven it to myself, and not just from the good words of others. I ordered a 407-CASE M2 30.06 and in a short period of time was able to track it. The shipment got up to Littleton NH, FEDEX Location in the early AM and loaded on the truck for delivery on Friday Morning, and by early afternoon when it would normally be delivered I tracked it again. It was taken off the truck an hour after loading-With a notation.......- Waiting for recipient to pick up. WHAT THE HEY?????? Now comes on to the stage. (stage left).. Lynne Williams...She made some calls and confirmed that they were seeing the same thing I was, and there was no reason for it. Lynn said she would make some calls and get back to me. True to her word.............( You don't see that kind of service in retail or consumer services.) She called me back with an update and said that they might try to deliver it weather permitting on Saturday or the following Monday. Well a long story short I received it a little after 1 PM on Saturday. Seems the original FEDEX Truck Driver assigned , had issues with having to only deliver one package to the town where I live , and which is over an hour away. Another driver delivered it on Saturday and I hope he made it back before the roads iced over as they were expected to. They plan on working the problem out at FedEx and were apologetic about the problem. Extra credit to Lynn Williams as I heard over the phone in her voice, that she was fighting a cold, yet was as pleasant as you could ever expect I felt compelled to give her the weekend of to recover Smiley emoticon. Please relay my thanks you to her. Brian M. NH. March 2, 2008
