RE: Western CMP Games and Rifle Sales
Hey folks... You are simply the best bunch of rifle people I have ever encountered and wanted to thank you for a great experience participating in the Western Games. As a first-time-ever competitor, I felt welcomed, informed, and educated by the experience.
Your staff is almost unreal. Cordial, knowledgeable folk who know what a smile is and how to help out. The staff on the rifle sales were patient and helpful facilitating a comfortable purchase of a Kimber .22 and M1903A3 rifle.
Then there's the rifle purchase process.... Again, great communication and flawless procedure. Painless and rewarding. Thank you for the two wonderful
rifles at very reasonable price. And the great HXP ammo... Enough Said-

Hi all at CMP, I received my M1 Field Grade Garand on Friday (12-23-2005), just in time for Christmas, after I had placed the order, then later cancelled it, then placed the order again. You guys are simply amazing…how do you do it? I am so very impressed with the professionalism of everyone who helped process this order. Please convey my regards to all of them. I am very pleased with it, and there was no cosmoline or other grease to clean off the rifle. Thank you so much, Tony M .

The armorer, a Mr. Boggs, called me first thing this morning and suggested a
solution to the problem. I did what he told me to do and the problem is
fixed. The CMP has my vote for excellent customer service and technical

Got my "Rack Grade" M1 today! I could not believe how fast it got here.
When I opened the box I was expecting a rifle that would have a pretty beat
up stock, little finish and shot out barrel. The barrel is not the tightest
I have seen, but still shootable. The rest of the rifle was really a
wonderful surprise! The wood was in VERY good shape with only minor dings
and the finish on the metal parts appears to be about 90%. I was also
expecting a thick layer of grease but found the rifle not all that bad in
the way of grease. Cleaned up real well and very quickly. This was my
first CMP M1 I have purchased. It will not be my last! Thank you all very
much for sending me such a nice M1 Garand and just before Christmas too!
I'll have to wait to take it out and shoot it when it warms up outside, but
if it shoots half as good as it looks, I have one fine rifle. Thanks again
and have a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year. Daniel K., Texas.

Recently received a ‘woodless’ Dane that is great!! Serial is in 666xx range, making it the oldest in my collection. [1940 mid year] . Barrel is the Danish ‘VAR” type and seems to be in good shape.
Trigger group and front sight via Winchester. All finish is good, except receiver has a very ‘silver’ cast to it. Christmas came early for me; sure thank you folks!!! Thanks, Tom M .

I received my Remington O3 A3 on the 16th of Dec. Everything seems to be alright. So far just looking at it, the stock is Remington, the bolt is Remington, the barrel is marked 7-44. The gun is now at my gunsmiths, awaiting a full cleaning and inspection. The serial # is 4163xxx. I also picked up a 1903 Springfield at a gun show on the 3rd of Dec. with a low serial # (5 digit) starting 84xxx, that gun is also at the gunsmiths awaiting work and inspection. To the CMP Staff, I received my M1 on Dec. 15, it was just as I requested, a World War II vintage Springfield from 1943 (serial # 2099xxx). I was also pleasantly surprised (and relieved) to receive my 1903A3 on Dec. 16. It is an awesome rifle also from 1943, (serial # 3859xxx). Great site. Although I've been involved with the military since being drafted in 1965 and going to Vietnam, then spending 19 years in the Massachusetts Army National Guard I didn't really know much about the CMP program or what it offered. I will now be a frequent visitor and I plan on making purchases in the near future. Thanks..... Lawrence A.

Thank you for your quick service, as it always is with CMP, EXCELLENT!!. I talked to Lynn and we worked out the problems with some replacement parts. I have already received them and replaced the questionable parts with the new ones. Pass on to Lynn for me please that I appreciated his help and advice also the quick service on shipping put the parts. You guys and gals know how to provide customer oriented service. To all of you at CMP; I received my Kimber back last Thursday after returning it with a defect and I want you to know that I now have a rifle that I can compete with. It was returned with the beautiful stock that was on the original one, so it not only shoots quite well but looks GOOD too. I want to thank all that were involved for a job well done. Happy Camper! Thanks, The correct grade I received was actually a collectors grand if it wasn't for a few ding in the wood. I really appreciate your efforts. The correct grade is for hopefully for matches and the one that is being shipped today is my plinker. it dates to Jan. or Feb. 1944 the year I was born. My experience, before retiring, was managing a warranty department for B&D corporation. With that background I can state that you all have very high marks in Customer relations. I have purchased a 1917 Eddystone and a 1903A3 Remington to my happy satisfaction. My Grandson and I are looking forward to my ordered 1903 Remington.

I just received my first M1 Garand from you. I am VERY happy with my new rifle, and the manner in which my order was processed and shipped. I sent my order out the day after Thanksgiving, and I just received it today, December 7th (Pearl Harbor day, how’s that for a coincidence?) via Fedex Priority Overnight. I was very pleased with the manner in which you kept me informed with the status of my order. I received no less than three E-mails while you were processing my order.
My rifle is in very good condition. I ordered a Springfield manufacture Greek Field Grade M1. I received a rifle made in 1943, with plenty of finish left and a USGI stock with US stock markings. There was almost no cosmoline or other grease to clean off the rifle. The stock has one hairline crack just behind the receiver, and the rear handguard has a hairline crack just in front of the receiver, both of which show signs of being arsenal repaired. All parts are Springfield Armory manufacture, except for the bolt, which is an HRA. I am extremely pleased with my new M1. The bore, from what I can tell is still in very good condition, with quite a bit of life still left in it. I have yet to shoot it, but I have little doubt that I will not be disappointed.
I plan on ordering a Springfield 1903, as well as some M2 ball ammunition from you in the future. Your prices are unbeatable, as is your customer service and shipping times. You are a very good organization, and I will be sure to recommend you to others.

Received my 03A3 yesterday (just two weeks from time of order, including Thanksgiving). I knew these were running low, and wasn't sure what condition to expect. Was I surprised! The rifle was in well above average condition, and appears to be all correct. This is the second purchase I've made from you ( the first was an H&R service grade Garand about a year ago), and you can be sure it wont be the last.

I received my rifle today, the day after it shipped. I was extremely happy when I opened the box to discover how great the rifle was! My M1 service grade is great. Well worth the wait! Spent the afternoon cleaning it up.....Looks great, perfect wood and nice metal. Can not wait to fire it. You guys do a great job, and the CMP is a great program. Thanks for fulfilling my long tome dream of having an M1 Garand! Thanks Chris S.
