Register Now for Junior Leadership Training Conference - Junior shooting coaches, leaders and parents from all over the country have one common annual opportunity to participate in training courses that are structured to increase their knowledge and skills as junior shooting sports leaders. This one national-level training week occurs each fall as either the National Youth Shooting Sports Leadership Conference (hosted by CMP in even-numbered years) or the National Shooting Coaches College (hosted by USA Shooting in odd-numbered years). The NRA Education & Training Division also plays a major role in each year’s program.

Garand-Springfield-Military Rifle Master Instructor Training Clinic Openings - Instructors and shooters who are interested in being trained and certified to teach CMP-sanctioned Garand-Springfield-Military Rifle Clinics will have three upcoming opportunities to attend one of these two-day courses during the next three months.

The National Three-Position Air Rifle Council established the Junior Excellence-In-Competition Award Program to provide incentives for junior three-position air rifle competitors to improve and excel. This program awards prestigious badges of distinction to the most outstanding junior shooters. Sixth Annual International Air Rifle Postal League - South Fork High School JROTC Department is hosting the Sixth Annual International Air Rifle Postal League (5 Matches). This postal is an excellent way for your Air Rifle Team to compete with Army JROTC, Marine Corp JROTC, Navy JROTC, 4 H, and Canadian Cadet League Air Rifle Teams. Every team has a winner in each match, the top shooter from each team in each match will receive a Military Style Medal. The U. S. Army Sniper School will sponsor the sixth annual United States Army International Sniper Competition Oct. 27 through Nov. 4. Two-man sniper teams will compete in events that will include a sniper stalk, urban shooting and orienteering exercises, a stress fire and other tests of their marksmanship and sniper skills. Ten of the teams expected to compete are Army snipers, to include representatives from the 75th Ranger Regiment, the 5th and 7th Special Forces Groups and the Army National Guard Sniper School. The field is also expected to include teams representing the Air Force and Marines. Seven Canadian teams and teams from Great Britain, Ireland and Israel are also expected to compete. Ladies Practical Pistol "Babes With Bullets" Camp will be held on 12-15 November at the Pima Pistol Club in Tucson, AZ. The "Babes With Bullets" camp offers a great learning curve for the Novice & Intermediate shooter as a way to get you familiar with your handgun. There will be additional instruction for the advanced IDPA or IPSC competitive shooters as well. Kay Clark-Miculek, head instructor/camp founder, is a several time national/world handgun champion in a variety of shooting sports. Julie Goloski , also a multi national and international handgun champion, has extensive IDPA background. They, along with a other outstanding instructors, will be at camp.
