NEWS FROM THE CMP |

2006 National Matches and Small Arms Firing Schools. Registration for the 2006 Pistol Small Arms Firing School and new M9 Pistol EIC Match is this coming Sunday, 9 July. The National Trophy Pistol Matches are just one week later on Sunday, 16 July. Lots of entries for these events are still coming in, but it is still not too late to register. To be in the Pistol SAFS, you must check-in at Camp Perry on 9 July, not later than 9:00 PM. Three weeks remain when shooters can sign up for the National Rimfire Sporter Match and four weeks to register for the Rifle Small Arms Firing School and National Trophy Rifles Matches. With one additional day in the National Trophy Rifle Matches week this year, additional range capacity was made available for matches that had long wait lists in 2005. As a result, entry spaces are still available in all rifle events. Entries in the Rimfire Sporter, Vintage Military Rifle, Springfield and Garand Matches already exceed previous highs for those matches, entry spaces remain for all rifle events. Some events are expected to go into waitlist status, however, so getting entries in as soon as possible is important. To plan your 2006 trip to Camp Perry and make your entries, read or download the Official Match Programs posted at http://www.odcmp.com/NationalMatches.htm or register on-line at http://clubs.odcmp.com/matches. |
