at 8:00 AM. This free clinic is for competitors who plan to fire in the
Western CMP Games Garand, Springfield, Vintage Military Rifle, Rimfire
Sporter and Carbine Matches as well as the As-Issued M1 Garand EIC Match.
The clinic would also be valuable for anyone who wants to get a sound
introduction to target rifle shooting. The clinic includes PowerPoint
slides, demonstrations and dry-fire position work on the range. Instruction
will cover safety and range and match procedures as well as the firing
positions and techniques to be used in these events. Clinic students need
to bring their own rifles. Please, do not bring ammunition to the clinic.
Gary Anderson, CMP Director, will be the lead instructor. Richard Whiting,
CMP GSM Master Instructor, will be the Assistant Instructor.
WESTERN CMP GAMES COMPETITION EVENTS.

event counts for plaque awards (high score, high senior, high handicap).
See CMP Competition Rule 6.3 for specific regulations on authorized rifles.
See Rule 9.0 for regulations regarding the conduct of firing. A current
copy of the CMP Competition Rules is available on the CMP web

HOW TO
ENTER THE MATCHES
ELIGIBILITY. Any individual 14 years of
age or older who complies with CMP eligibility rules (see CMP Rule 4.0) is
eligible to enter the Western CMP Games events. Membership in the CMP or
NRA is not required. All competitors must sign or have signed a notarized
CMP Eligibility Affidavit and Liability WAIVER. The
required forms and a notary will be available during competitor check-in
periods at the Ben Avery Highpower Range. It
is not necessary to be an NRA member to compete in any of the Creedmoor Cup
matches; however, those failing to provide a current NRA number prior
to the completion of the awards ceremony will not be eligible for awards.
The NRA Membership toll free # is (800) 672-3888.
HOW TO ENTER. All competitors should be
pre-registered. Walk on entries may be accepted if range space is
available, but there is a $10 late fee for walk-on entries. It is necessary
to estimate the number of competitors for the BBQ events, and
pre-registrations give us those numbers. To submit your entry for the
Western CMP Games Matches AND Creedmoor Cup, use the CMP on-line entry
system. Click on
http://clubs.odcmp.com/cgi-bin/matchInfo.cgi?matchID=3773. You also may
find this on-line entry system on the CMP web site http://www.odcmp.com
and the Creedmoor Sports web site http://www.creedmoorsports.com;
click on the Western CMP Games and Creedmoor Cup icon.
ENTRY FEES. Entry fees are payable at the
time of registration. CMP entry fees provide for ammunition issue (except
Rimfire Sporter), a T-shirt, the barbecue on 12 October, awards and the
$5.00 daily range fees. Fees can be paid with credit cards during on-line
registration. Checks may be sent to CMP or competitors who do not wish to
send credit card information may call 419-635-2141, ext. 1107. Entry fees
